The K57+125 Pedestrian Bridge is located on the Yongtai to Dehua section of the Zhenghe-Yangyuan to Yongding Expressway. It is a geosynthetic-reinforced soil (GRS) integrated bridge with a total width of 19 meters and a total length of 68.4 meters. The superstructure consists of pre-stressed concrete T-beams, with a beam height of 2.5 meters and a single span of 40 meters. The main girders are monolithically cast with the abutments, ensuring structural continuity and integrity. The substructure features a streamlined and efficient design, with a pile cap that is 2.4 meters high and 3.0 meters thick, supported by a single row of bored cast-in-place piles. These piles have a diameter of 1.8 meters, with lengths of 20.5 meters at the starting abutment and 18.0 meters at the end abutment. The GRS abutment utilizes polypropylene woven geotextile as the reinforcement material, with a primary reinforcement spacing of 30 centimeters. It is laid in a stepped configuration and wrapped back against the abutment backwall. This design significantly reduces earth pressure behind the abutment, minimizes fill settlement, and enhances seismic performance.
