On March 11-13, 2014, the first international workshop on jointless bridges was successfully carried out in Fuzhou city, Fujian, China. Based on the many discussions of unsolvedproblems on jointless bridges in the workshop, all participants felt that it is very necessary to form an international association on jointless bridges,focusing on the research and knowledge-exchange on jointless bridges. After the consent of all participants, the association will be built and managed by FuzhouUniversity. The all registered participants of the workshop will be automatically the first round members of the association. The new members will be accepted based on many considering factors such as their reputation on the research of jointless bridges and the significance of the role they may play in the association, etc.
