Wuwangdian Bridge is located at G244 National Road, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The bridge is 26 meters in length and 10 meters in width. The superstructure is a 2-span, 13-meter prestressed concrete hollow slab with continuous deck. The substructure pier is single-row column pier with two piles in the transverse direction. Bored pile foundation with pile diameter of 120 cm  was used. The bridge deck pavement is composed of 9cm asphalt concrete, ATR-1 waterproof layer and 10cm C40 concrete. Both sides of the bridge are provided with rigid anti-collision railings. Both sides of the bridge head are provided with grade flat approach slab, with a length of 3 meters. The expansion joints with a width of 6cm are reserved at the abutments. The bridge is an existing simply supported beam bridge transformed into an extended deck bridge, i.e., to retain the expansion joints between the main girders and the bridge deck, cancel the expansion device at the bridge deck. The deformation of the main girder due to temperature change is led to the approach slab and wiring road interface. This will improve driving comfort, reduce jumping, and contribute to driving safety.

The Wuwangdian Bridge was constructed by Baoji Highway Administration and designed by Xi'an Highway Research Institute. The School of Civil Engineering of Fuzhou University is responsible for the scientific research project with the bridge as the background, and has guided the design of the bridge and carried out research on the bridge structure. The bridge was completed and opened to traffic in July 2018.
