In the evening of October 5th, 2022, 20:00-21:30 (GMT+8), the International Association of Jointless Bridges (IAJB) Executive Committee (EC) online meeting was hosted. One of 10 EC members from all over the world attended the meeting.
At first, the meeting reviewed the previous activities of the Association and in particular the 2nd International Symposium on Jointless & Sustainable Bridges (ISJSB 2019) held in Harbin (China), reported the organization of the upcoming 3rd Symposium (ISJSB-2022) and introduced the international association official website.
In the EC meeting, Dr. Bruno Briseghella (Fuzhou University, China) was elected as Chair of the Association, Dr. Bijan Khaleghi (Washington State Department of Transportation, USA), Dr. Khaled Sennah (Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada), Dr. Murat Dicleli (Middle East Technical University, Turkey) and Dr. Anastasios Sextos (University of Bristol, UK) as vice-Chairs.
In addition, the vision, mission, field of activities, objectives and organization of the Association were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the related issues and the future development of IAJB were considered.
